Event End: 2015-04-20 21:00:00

This event will be an outreach presentation that will serve to not only create awareness on the societal problem of sexual violence but also reach out to survivors empowering them to seek hope, healing and happiness in their lives. We will be providing resources on where survivors can go for help and what we, the public at large, can do to get involved with this initiative and motivate some positive change. Our program this evening will be powerful yet hopeful and uplifting and we hope you will attend. Admission is by donation to the Empowered for Life! Campaign. Eye on the Environment - A photography and Eco Art Show

Event Start: 2015-04-21 09:00:00

Event End: 2015-04-22 04:00:00

Join us at Hillsdale Elementary School, 16 Albert Street East on Tuesday, April 21 or Wednesday, April 22 for “EYE ON THE ENVIRONMENT: IN, ON, and ABOUT the ENVIRONMENT” a photography and eco art show presented by the school’s eco team. Hillsdale has 35 students who are dedicated to conserving energy, diverting waste and preserving nature for all to enjoy. Throughout the school year a parent volunteer has been guiding students as they examine the schoolyard in all seasons. With her eye for detail and composition she has encouraged the students to take a closer look and to capture what they see on film. The results have been amazing. Students from kindergarten to grade 8 have produced some fine photographic gems which will be displayed during the show. Please come and view the show, the school is open from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. for viewing.
