An arbitrator that was appointed to end the Ontario college faculty strike has given teachers a 7.75% raise over four years, the ruling also has provisions for academic freedom.
The colleges say academic policies already exist at most colleges and the salary increase was the same one that was offered before the strike.
The other contentious issue, the widespread use of part-time and contract faculty, will be sent to a special task force.
