Dodge Caravans Recalled For Surprise Airbag Deployment
Fiat-Chrysler is recalling almost 300,000 Dodge Caravans across North America because of airbags deploying from a faulty wire.
The problem has been identified as a wire that chafes against the interior part of the steering column that could cause the wire to be exposed, where in lies the risk of it deploying unexpectedly. Approximately 87,703 vehicles in Canada from the 2011-2012 model year are being recalled. So far only eight people have reported minor injuries.
Owners will be notified by mail starting at the end of July. You can also check recalls HERE.
