Every Christmas 104.1 The Dock helps the less fortunate in our area have a brighter Christmas. This year marks the 9th year for Feeding Families, our initiative that helps raise food and money donations in different locations throughout Simcoe County. We encourage any schools, companies or local organizations to get involved and participate in this project.
Each year, our Dock announcers travel from community to community in Simcoe County collecting food and cash donations that stay in those respective communities. We will continue this tradition this winter and are honoured to be able do it again on Tuesday, Dec. 12th & Wednesday, Dec. 13th.
Here is the schedule when we’ll be in your area. Please mark these dates on your calendar and come out and support your local food bank.

If you would like to participate and help us raise food & money donations, here’s how your school, company or organization can be part of Feeding Families
Start collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries on November 20th.
Let us know you’re participating by emailing Rob at firstname.lastname@example.org
We’ll arrange a time for a photo with your team or school, a date to pick up food and drop it off at your local food bank.
On December 7th, our sister station, KICX 106 will hold their 15th Annual 12 hour Radio Auction from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Proceeds will be split between the Salvation Army locations in Midland, Orillia & Barrie. Last year we raised over $13,000 and we couldn’t have done it without the help of people like you, our community friends.
You can sponsor ONE HOUR of the Auction for $100 and receive name mentions and one Facebook Live video sponsored by your business during that hour.
Last year many retailers and local businesses phoned in the day of the auction wanting to donate a service or item.
This year we thought we’d give you that opportunity well ahead of time.
The earlier you confirm your donation the more exposure you receive. Donate an item from your business…perhaps you have a special item you want to promote for the Christmas Season, a gift certificate, gift basket, collectible, service, concert, Leaf tickets, just remember the biggest bids always go to items that are hard to buy! Anything goes!!!
If you would like to be a drop-off location for the food drive or make a donation to the auction, please email Rob at email@example.com.
Together we can make dreams come true and memories that last a lifetime.
