Mulroney wins PC nomination in York-Simcoe
A familiar name, has snagged the Progressive Conservative nomination in the provincial riding of York-Simcoe.
Caroline Mulroney, daughter of the former Prime Minister, accepted the nomination at a meeting in the riding yesterday and was welcomed and praised by party leader and simcoe north MPP Patrick Brown.
The York-Simcoe riding, which includes Bradford and Innisfil, has been a Tory stronghold, held since 1995 by Julia Munro.
She has announced her retirement, and endorsed Mulroney’s campaign.

Mulroney is currently the VP of Toronto-based BloombergSen Investment Partners. She also co-founded the Shoebox Project for Shelters, which collects and distributes gifts to homelss women or those who are at risk.
Ontario’s provincial election will be held next June.
