Provincial Run Pot Store Will Be Located in Barrie
Barrie is among 14 cities that will be the new home to Ontario’s first provincially run marijuana stores. Locations have been selected across the province, but if residents don’t live near a location they will be able to order online.
There will be a total of 150 locations across the province by 2020, but they won’t be near any schools, and purchasers will have to be at least 19 to buy. Once a location within the city has been chosen there will be a public notification process available online.
Despite pot becoming legal in 2018, recreational users will not be allowed to consume in public, in cars or workplaces, and will only be allowed in private residences.
