UPDATE:

OPP say that early this afternoon their underwater search and recovery team found the body of 68 year old Richard Lapp in the Black River. Officers had been searching the area since Sunday as his car was found in Queen Elizabeth Wildlands Provincial Park. The OPP thank the public for their help, they are continuing to investigate.

Police Seek Assistance In Locating Missing Person

The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for assistance in locating a missing male from the City of Orillia.

Police are asking for the assistance of the public in locating 68 year old Richard Aldon LAPP of Orillia. He was last seen at Nobel Towers on November 19, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. He drives a 2003 red Chevrolet Silverado bearing Ontario number plate 3839EN

He is described as:

• 5’8″
•180 lbs
•Short Brown Hair with Bald Spot on Top
•Blue Eyes
•Walks with a cane or walker
