Barrie Police Investigative Services are seeking three suspects following a robbery that took place in Sunnidale Park, in the City of Barrie, on Wednesday, August 2, 2017.

Police were called to the park following a 9-1-1 call from a passerby just after 10:00 a.m. Upon arrival a 58-year-old Barrie man was located and suffering from several knife wounds throughout his body. The victim was transported to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the victim may have been targeted as he had been attacked by three suspects while walking through a wooded trail in the park. Two of the three suspects had been armed with a knife which led to an altercation leaving the victim with several knife wounds to his body. Following the attack the suspects robbed the victim of his personal belongings and ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the area. The vehicle is described as a white four-door Chevrolet Lumina, similar to a 2004-2006 model.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspects are described as;

Suspect 1

  • Male, white (Approx.30 yrs.)
  • 5’11, 190lbs.
  • Brown wavy hair to the bottom of his ears
  • Wearing a white T-shirt with unknown lettering and blue jeans

Suspect 2

  • Female, white (Approx.30 yrs.)
  • Possible name of “Tatijana”
  • Medium build, 5’5
  • Dirty blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail
  • Described as having various sores, pimples and pock marks on her face
  • Wearing a dark “Levi” shirt with red Levi markings and blue silk jean style pants

Suspect 3

  • Male, white (Approx.30 yrs.)
  • Muscular build, 5’8, 180lbs.
  • Short brown hair
  • Wearing a T-shirt with a vest and blue jeans
