Trent-Severn opening delayed
The April and May flooding we’ve had across central and southern Ontario, has forced a delay in the opening of a popular summer thoroughfare.
Parks Canada has announced that the Trent Severn Waterway will not open in time for this coming Victoria Day Weekend, due to high water levels and flows along the system.
So, they’ve postponed the opening of the locks until may 26th.
They also announced a one week delay for the opening of the Rideau Canal in Ottawa.
